Colonel’s Blog, Earthdate 11 August 2023…
Hey Y’all!
Good evening and happy Fast-Jet-Friday! The pic today is the Mighty-Mighty F-15E Strike Eagle flying low in Wales. The weather today is back to hot and humid. The heat index was 105 this afternoon…HOT! The animals are doing great today. Stella got new grass this morning and she is enjoying it. The new lambs are doing very well. They were lounging in the shade just like they own the place. The beef chicks are great and are starting to get their feathers. The beef chickens are growing and should be ready in a few weeks. This morning we built a new paddock for Stella. While Shelley made a trip to town, I mowed and weeded around the house for a few hours with Dad’s help. Then Dad and I worked on the side-by-side and got the new belt on the transmission. Drum roll…it WORKED! The transmission is so smooth now that I realized the old one had been going bad for at least 8 months. Very happy it’s back in service! We’re excited about the market tomorrow and will bring more beef and lamb. We’re hosting Mom’s birthday bash this weekend and have lots of family joining tomorrow. We expect loads of fun and excitement with family. I hope you all have a great weekend!
